Praying Mantis... who could not love this insect? I mean, look at the lovely eyes!
Whew, it has been busy, busy, busy! So little time to get out an enjoy what I enjoy most - nature! It has been about a month since I have been out on a trail for any length of time. Anyway, this most recent adventure was at Eagle Creek Park and as always it produced some excitement!

A common but picturesque Whitetail.
Common Buckeye's... this has been one of the best butterfly years I can remember! A wet spring and a dry summer. The butterflies loved it!
Carolina Wren... I never get tired of this social little bird. Always ready for a picture!
Next week I am off to Arizona for the first time. I am certain I will have some good pictures to post when I get back!
